Dr. Hilary Nieberg Baskin has been providing exceptional orthodontic care to her patients for more than 20 years. She truly loves making people smile! Her professional yet friendly and fun personality is sure to make any patient comfortable.

Raised in a family with her father as her orthodontist, she was exposed to her dental calling at an early age; pictures of her with baby teeth are even in orthodontic textbooks! (Yup- think the dental scene in Finding Nemo with the headgear and pigtails and you won't be too far off!) As the mother of two boys, Jonah and Gabe, she also understands the trials and tribulations of motivating our patients to wear elastics and retainers from a parent's perspective!

Dr. Baskin obtained her undergraduate degree at Colorado College and attended the University of Nebraska for her dental school education. She completed her general practice residency at the Denver VA Medical Center and attended the prestigious Yeshiva University's Albert Einstein College of Medicine at Montefiore Medical Center in New York, one of just a handful of hospital based programs, for her orthodontic specialty training. Her impressive research on orthodontic X-ray analysis was published soon after. She was honored to be the recipient of the Davidson Award, a singular award given to the outstanding dental resident who exhibits clinical excellence, and serves as a role model for the other residents based on ethics and professionalism. Dr. Baskin opened her first practice in Connecticut before she and her family moved back to Colorado in 1997. She practiced orthodontics for a decade before founding All About Braces in 2007 with Dr. Mershon, who started his dental career as her assistant!

To stay up to date with the latest advances in orthodontics, Dr. Baskin maintains memberships in numerous professional organizations. She is a member of the American Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontists, World Federation of Orthodontists, Colorado Dental Association, Metropolitan Denver Dental Society, the Rocky Mountain Society of Orthodontists, and a board member of the Colorado Orthodontic Association. She has repeatedly served with the American Association of Orthodontists Political Action Committee to lobby in Washington D.C. on behalf of the profession and patients! Dr. Baskin's research has been published in the Journal of Clinical Orthodontics, and she has been interviewed for newspaper and TV. She has lectured to students from dental to elementary school — sometimes even donning her tooth fairy wings! In her passion to give back to the profession she serves on the board of the of the Colorado Orthodontic Association and a Regent of the American Association of Orthodontics Foundation.

With Dr. Baskin as a role model, the All About Braces team donates their time and services to dental education fairs, the Colorado Foundation of Dentistry for the Handicapped, Team Smile, Donated Dental Services, Smiles Change Lives, Colorado Orthodontic Foundation and Give Kids a Smile program. In addition they volunteer at community events together such as the Ronald McDonald house, the Peanut Butter Plan, Lunchbox Express with JFS, Sock it to Me Socks and Smiles to name a few. Dr. Baskin previously served on the board of Hadassah, an organization that concentrates on international health care and education and was awarded their national award for young leadership. Prior to sitting on the national advisory board, she received the Gini Award, given to the practitioner of the year from the not-for-profit agency Smiles Changes Lives, which provides pro bono orthodontics to underserved children. Pursuing her passion for reading, she volunteers in the Denver Public Schools as a literacy tutor. Her energetic family has trained puppies for Guide Dogs for the Blind ... so don't be too surprised if you see a puppy in the practice!
